NON-INVASIVE LASER & LIGHT TECHNOLOGY TREATMENTS
HAIR REMOVAL
Waxing and shaving may be an option, but their limitations can be frustrating.
For those who want permanent hair reduction, this is a procedure that will eradicate hair from a target area and works by:
- Ruining the follicle by coagulating the melanocyte and matrix cells.
- Clotting the follicle capillaries with heat energy, which means less food and oxygen to the hair follicle.
- Triggering matrix cells to operate calcium pumps and exhaust the cell's energy, resulting in inhibition of the cellular metabolism.
These processes back up one another, so if one does not provide results, the two others will.
SKIN REJUVENATION / PHOTOFACIALS - WRINKLES
Younger skin is elastic, firm and has no wrinkles. Old skin, however, is thin and wrinkled.
This procedure works by:
- Illuminating the skin with light (photons).
- Absorption of the photons by the cell's mitochondria and by the inner cell's chromophores.
- An elevation of ATP synthesis (ATP = Adenosine Tri-Phosphate, the cell's energy molecule).
This results in:
- Increased protein synthesis, growth and cell's proliferation.
- Enhanced collagen and elastic fibers production.
- Rejuvenated looking skin.
The light energy that turns into heat energy will stimulate the cells to produce more collagen and induces collagen and elastic tissue synthesis, which results in the rejuvenation of the skin. As the treated area heals, the new skin forms smoother and firmer.
In accordance with the individual’s skin sensitivity, this procedure may be done every 2 to 3 weeks and may require a minimum of 3 sessions.
ACNE TREATMENT
Acne is a cause of suffering and discomfort to many people who have to deal with it daily.
The introduction of light-based technology solutions created a revolution in Acne treatment. Specific bacteria are targetted which generates an organic compound called porphyrin.
This procedure works as part of a routine metabolism process:
- Using high intensity broad spectrum light (blue light) that triggers the porphyrin to release single oxygen atoms, sometimes called free radicals
- These free radicals make connections to molecules that they are not supposed to connect with, and by doing so it ruins the functionality of these molecules
- The activity of many single oxygen atoms destroys the Acne bacteria.
Acne Treatment is a combined therapy which includes laser (blue-light) therapy and take-home skin care products to apply to the treated skin. It’s a process that makes the skin get worse before it gets better. Skin will gradually improve over time.
For optimal results it may require a minimum of 3 sessions, spaced out between 3 to 10 days apart.
VASCULAR (FACIAL) TREATMENT
The appearance of spider-like capillaries is one of the signs which time leaves on our skin. They may be found anywhere on our body surface, but usually bother us most when found on our face.
Broken capillaries get their color from clotted RBC (Red Blood Cells). These capillaries are best seen when they are near the skin surface, or when the skin becomes too thin due to decreased collagen production.
To treat these broken capillaries, it will require:
- Breaking the layer of clotted blood and re-opening the capillary, resulting in free blood flow through the capillary and the disappearance of the purple color.
- Stimulating the collagen layer to produce more collagen, resulting in thicker skin which conceals the capillaries.
Depending on the severity of the issue in the area being treated, it may take 6 to 10 sessions, spaced out 3 weeks apart. After vascular treatment, clotted RBCs are damaged and eventually fade and disappear over several months.
PIGMENTATION TREATMENT
Age spots, sun spots or liver spots are blemishes on the skin associated with age and exposure to UV radiation from the sun. They range in color from light brown to black and are located in areas most often exposed to the sun.
Light-based technology helps in safe and quick removal of those spots.
This procedure works by:
- Targeting melanocytes that absorbs the energy of the light pulse
- The light energy turns into heat energy that coagulates the melanocytes selectively
- New cells are later formed without high concentration of melanin and the skin is renewed.
Light-based pigmentation treatment may darken, lighten, fade or even produce small crust-like spots after treatment.
On average, it takes 4 to 6 weeks to process the pigment and may require at least 2 to 4 sessions, spaced out 4 to 6 days apart to achieve desired results.
